Inspired by Rep John Lewis we made this Good Trouble hat with proceeds going to SPLC.
Rep. John Lewis, longtime civil rights activist and Congressman out of Georgia is an inspiring leader in this unnerving moment. As a Freedom Rider, mentee of MLK, he recently spoke at the Families Belong Together March in Washington, DC.
“It’s time for some of us to get in good trouble, necessary trouble… we may have to turn America upside down to set it right side up, but whatever we do, do it in an orderly, peaceful and nonviolent fashion,” he said.
Let’s all get into some Good Trouble, y’all.
Founded in 1971, SPLC is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality.
